Amicable debt mediation

Amicable debt mediation is a voluntary arrangement where you, together with, for example, a recognized mediator (OCMW or CAW) make agreements to repay your debts. The mediator maps out your debts, examines your payment options and negotiates an installment plan with creditors. You continue to manage your money yourself and make the payments, possibly with the help of the mediator.

Creditors are not obliged to participate. The mediation can be stopped by you, the creditor or the mediator (in case of non-compliance). There are costs that you will be informed about in advance.
