A notice of default means that there is an outstanding debt for which payment has not yet been received. The bailiff acts as a mediator between you and the creditor. It is important that you respond within the time specified in your letter. This way, you avoid additional costs or legal action.
What does the notice of default say?
- The outstanding amount
- Creditor's name
- Your file number
- Modero's contact details
- Payment options (incl. QR code)
- An overview of debt and costs
What options do you have?
- Pay in full by bank transfer, QR code, counter or the Kiwi app/web application.
- Request an installment plan if you can't pay everything at once (by phone, email, or via KIWI).
- File a dispute if you disagree with the letter (in writing, with supporting documents).
Tip: responding quickly is key. If you ignore this notice of default, Modero may be instructed to take further legal action and, for example, sue. And that comes at a cost. So respond always and in a timely manner. Even when you can't pay (the full amount).
