Why ONE vzw was founded
In 2024, all Modero offices together ONE vzw established. Why? Because we found every day that money problems are often the tip of the iceberg. Visible to everyone, while underlying other challenges include limited access to the labor market, health problems or a lack of childcare. If you only tackle debts, you only help people move forward temporarily. At Modero, we aim for sustainable, solid solutions that make people not only financially healthy but also self-reliant.
How ONE vzw works
ONE vzw brings together various partners from the wider care sector who have mediation as their mission or who are committed to promoting people's financial, physical, psychological or social well-being. In this way, we can offer an integrated solution. New collaborations are also always welcome: contact us!
Participation in a process is completely voluntary and always with the customer's consent. When a bailiff or file manager notices that someone needs more than an installment plan, he or she can suggest a meeting with ONE vzw. During that conversation, the situation will be thoroughly discussed and the options will be examined together.
Where possible, ONE vzw includes the debts in an amicable settlement. This is possible if the customer meets objective criteria and agrees to the conditions set during the intake interview. For implementation, the non-profit organization works with organizations that focus on financial, physical, psychological or social well-being. New collaborations are always welcome.

Modero's goal is not only to help people pay off their debts, but also to provide them with structural support.
